Welcome
Welcome to My Future My Way – Specialist Behaviour Support Services
At My Future My Way, we are dedicated to providing personalised, individual-centred support that empowers people to live the life they choose. Our approach is built on the belief that everyone has the right to access quality services that respect their autonomy, values, and goals. We are committed to best practice, driven by the needs and aspirations of those who seek our services, ensuring that each person is at the heart of their support planning and decision-making.
Our practice integrates leading evidence-based models to provide holistic and effective support for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and histories of trauma. We incorporate Dr. Ross Greene’s Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model, which focuses on addressing the root causes of challenging behaviours through collaborative problem-solving, recognising that such behaviours often reflect unmet needs or skill deficits. This is further supported by an understanding of neurobiology, which helps us understand the brain’s role in behaviour and development.
Our services also draw from Daniel Siegel’s interpersonal neurobiology, Bessel van der Kolk’s trauma-informed care, and Pat Ogden’s sensorimotor therapy, which acknowledges the impact of trauma on the body and supports emotional regulation. We integrate Gabor Maté’s work on addiction and mental health, Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, which explores the nervous system’s role in behaviour, and Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing, which focuses on trauma recovery through bodily awareness and self-regulation.
At My Future My Way, we align our services with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the National Disability Standards, and NDIA Legislation, ensuring that we provide quality support that is both respectful and compliant with current policies. We are here to support individuals and families in navigating the NDIS, selecting the right services, and achieving their goals, all while embracing the principles of choice and control that are central to the NDIS framework.
With 28 years of experience, our team of accredited Allied Health Professionals offers individualised, person-centred support in metropolitan Adelaide and Melbourne. We specialise in specialist positive behaviour support, therapeutic supports, family therapy, social skills development, and person-centred planning, all tailored to empower you to live your future, your way.
